About Us
www.PositiveChangeforBurnsville.com is a grassroots
volunteer committee consisting of concerned Burnsville
residents Barry Wessman, Cliff Volkman, Dave Erickson, Elwood
Narum, Herm Kauls, Jim Batt, Linda Batt, Michael Esch, Roger
Foster, Stephanie Van Zomeren, Timothy Ivers, and Vickie
Loher, who are committed to an open, respectful dialogue
regarding changes that we and other citizens would like to
see in our City. We are Democrats, Republicans, and
Independents. We are Conservatives and Liberals, coming
together to change the course of our City for the better.
Our group initially formed to oppose the transition of the
planned Performing Arts Center from a private to a publicly
funded enterprise. As our involvement in that project grew,
we became much more aware of other issues facing
Burnsville. Needs such as:
(1) Transparency in Government
(2) Respect for Citizens
(3) Fiscal Responsibility
(4) Accountability
(5) Leadership
